In ww2, the Army Air Force was a part of the US army and the USAAF uniforms were the same as the Army uniforms. The branches of service were differentiated by the shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) and the technical specialities patches and a wing.
WW2 Officer’s winter SD Uniform (PINKS & GREENS):
The officer’s winter service dress uniform (the combination best known as the Pinks and Green uniform), The ww2 USAAF officer’s winter tunic SD uniform is made in Olive Drab wool No.51 and the ww2 USAAF trousers were made in Olive Drab wool No.54. The combination comes with shirt and a tan tie. Ww2 USAAF Officer’s summer uniform:
The summer uniform was khaki color made of cotton, tropical worsted and Gabardine. This uniform was not mandatory and was often privately tailored so there is a lot of variation in these uniforms.

Ww2 USAAF Enlisted Men’s IKE JACKET:
USAAF Enlisted men often preferred wearing the IKE Jacket. This was much popularized by president Eisenhower and were modeled after the British BDU. The jackets were often cut down from the service coat or were privately purchased so there is a lot of deviation in the specifications for these. Later on the ww2 USAAF standardized their own jackets the B-13 and the B-14 EM jacket. These are available at our sister website www.sanjaysuriandson.com

The summer uniform for the Enlisted Men’s was made in Khaki # 1 as it was popularly called. The cost of the Khaki tunic is US$ 125 and trousers are US$ 65 including custom tailoring and door delivery. Garrison cap is US$ 29 and belt is US$ 38 on a door delivered, custom tailored basis.
